Press Release From Hot Lap Designs:

Split RC8B4.2 Towers
These Hot Lap Designs split-style front and rear shock towers are designed specifically for the B4.2 gearboxes. They can be used on the B4.1 when paired with the adjustable gearbox or as a direct fit on all B4.2 series vehicles. Like our other split towers, they provide a performance advantage in medium- to low-grip conditions or on tight tracks where steering is at a premium.
Perfect for events like RaceTime, DNC, Silver State, or your local track that runs pin tires or features dusty bar-tire conditions. We also added an extra upper wing mounting hole to allow for a higher wing position, increasing downforce for high-speed national events with large jumps and fast sections.
By separating the tower design, these towers improve overall grip and steering response while helping the car remain composed through rough sections of the track. The result is a buggy that’s easier to drive and delivers more consistent lap times.
This added flexibility allows you to confidently adapt your setup to different track surfaces and conditions.
Compatibility: These towers only fit B4 series vehicles when using the B4.1/B4.2 shocks together with the B4.2 gearbox. If you’re running the B4/B4.1 gearbox, check out our B4.1 Split Shock Towers.
Machined in the USA from premium domestic 7075 aluminum for maximum strength, durability, and performance.
Carbon Fiber RC8B4.2 Towers
Carbon Towers for the B4.2. These are the setup for the high grip surfaces we see today popping up in the US and already a staple in many other countries. Great for turf, sealed clay with glue or oil and multi surface tracks where stability is key.
These are made in 4mm and 5mm thick Carbon Fiber. Standard setup is 5mm in the front and 4mm in the rear. But you can choose the lightweight option of running 4mm up front or choosing the HD option of 5mm in the rear.
