New JConcepts 2010 Ford Raptor Vertex-6 Crawler Body

As the most radical off-road production pickup ever, the Ford F-150 SVT Raptor makes a great looking body shell on just about any RC car. Back in 2010, JConcepts was the first to deliver a Ford Raptor body to RC enthusiasts and now, the first to deliver it to fit the Redcat Vertex-6. From a toughness standpoint, nothing appears as mean as a Raptor and that fits right in with this 6th scale giant RC crawler. As full-scale trucks hit the mid-2000’s, they were looking for a body to spice things up, look racier and add another dimension to the appearance and the Ford Raptor fit that bill.

In the 1:6th genre of RC, there are not a lot of body options on the market, and the Redcat seemed like a perfect candidate to add Ford looks with JConcepts proven performance. The team from Groveland, Florida took some liberties and adapted some trophy truck inspiration to this item with big swooping fenders and mini winglets at the top of the shell. The item has extended cab window treatment and Raptor quality stepped down front window trim.

The front-end represents very aero styling used in the 2010’s on Ford truck bodies and the included decal sheet allows the user to treat the front-end with grille and headlight decals. In front of the windshield, the hood scoop makes its presence known and with Raptor decals and finishes off a clean look. The rear of the bed drops down below the bedside rails to mount directly to the Redcat and a clearance section is incorporated to fit around the standard Vertex-6 chassis layout.

The photo truck is equipped with JConcepts #4030 Landmines tires pre-mounted on Hazard wheels and works in conjunction with Redcat new #RER41414 threaded axle conversion kit. In addition, JConcepts #4045 Tusk can be used along with the same wheel and axle conversion parts to utilize the full capability of the JConcepts tires in all crawling conditions. Each package includes window mask, 2010 generation Ford Raptor specific decal sheet and clear polycarbonate body.
