Press Release From Serpent:

The new Serpent DJC front driveshaft for the SRX8 and SRX8GT have been engineered specifically for high steering-angle applications.

Traditional universal-joint drive shafts begin to bind as steering angle increases, creating additional friction, inconsistent wheel speed, and unnecessary drivetrain load. The Serpent DJC design virtually eliminates these effects, maintaining a much smoother transfer of power even beyond 30 degrees of steering angle.

Benefits:

  • Reduced drivetrain binding at extreme steering angles
  • Smoother, more consistent power delivery
  • Increased drivetrain efficiency
  • Lower stress on drive cups, joints, and bearings
  • More predictable steering feel under acceleration
  • Designed for modern high-angle GT steering geometry

Whether you're navigating tight hairpins or maximizing steering throw on technical circuits, the Serpent DJC system allows the front drivetrain to operate with significantly less resistance than a conventional universal joint.
