Race Report by Hupo Honigl

The 5th and last round of the Austrian Nationals 1/10 Buggy was held at the track of the SMRC Simmering in the middle of Vienna.

Weather was again not on our side on Saturday, so we decided to race on Sunday only, it was very cold, but the track dried up during the day. The first 3 qualifiers were still on wet and very slippery conditions, but the 4th round was already dry and traction went from 0 to 100.

My cars were on point in every track condition and I could TQ and win both classes. It was a very tight fight between Pinisch, Hauleitner and Grainer for the remaining podium spots.

2WD Buggy Race Results

2. Lucas Grainer – XRAY XB2

Overall XRAY took all 7 National titles! I took national title in 4WD and 2WD. In 4WD Lucas Grainer became Junior National Champion and Roland Hauleitner took 40+ Title!

In 2WD, Lucas took his 2nd Junior title and Roland his 2nd 40+ title!
