IFMAR 1:8 Worlds AKA Fantasy League Update

AKA and LiveRC have teamed up at this year's World Championship and have put together the AKA Fantasy League! The AKA Fantasy League allows YOU the viewers to pick your favorite drivers and race your way to victory. Up for grabs is big money in AKA bucks!

Grand Prize Overall Winner:
1st: $1,000 Gift Certificate to AKA
2nd: $500 Gift Certificate to AKA
3rd: $250 Gift Certificate to AKA

Prize For Each Round:
1st: $50 Gift Certificate to AKA

Quick Scoring Reference:
Points Per Lap: 10 (fractional points are awarded for the last lap based on finishing time)
Heat/Race Win: 10
Heat/Race Fastest Lap: 5

As the event has been action packed in Argentina with the drivers, the AKA Fantasy League has been even more action packed! Strategies are the name of the game, and it is paying off for many!

With the pouring rain and the final round of qualifying cancelled, Elliott Boots is the 2012 IFMAR World Championship TQ on the racetrack. In the cyber racing world, it is Trevor Clement who sits on top the leaderboard heading into the mains. Clement is leading, but not in the clear just yet. With a LOT of racing, laps, and results left to go, Clement is less than 4 points ahead of second place cyber racer "Blackmagic".

The top 2 drivers have stretched out their lead ever so little just before the mains with strategic driver picks that really paid off.

As of today the AKA Fantasy R/C League standings are as follows:

After inspecting the top 20 over and over again, oddly enough we do not see our LiveRC lead announcers anywhere near the front of the pack (despite the "research" and "strategies" they have talked so much about).
