Event: 2012 Super Cup Championship Series – Fall Session – round 1

The site for the JConcepts Super Cup Championship Series Fall Session race 1 was FZRC Raceway in Sarasota, Florida. Marty Chilton owner of FZRC and his crew put a tremendous effort into the track creating a one of a kind tent enclosure to help protect the track from inclement weather. Fortunately, Mother Nature was on our side and the tent was pulled back for the second round and main events. With 150 entries the competition was fierce with many of the A-main wins being determined by tenths of a second.

Racing Recap

Stock Buggy- Alan Wight taking TQ and the win with 15 laps / 5:00.6. Bobby Horan took the second place spot with 15 laps / 5:05.2 and Bruce Bennett came in third with 15 laps / 5:09.

Expert Buggy Stock- Had Dan Borkowicz taking the TQ spot and A-Main win with 15 laps / 5:09.6. Mac Davis took the second place spot with 15 laps / 5:09.9. Josh Boyce came in third.

Mod Buggy- Mr. JConcepts himself Jason Ruona dominates taking TQ and the win with 17 laps / 5:22. Jason’s Team Associated B4.1 WC was equipped with JConcepts Finnisher Body and Hi-Clearance wing with Green 3D’s and Rips providing the traction . Leon McIntosh took the second place spot with 16 laps / 5:02.6. JR Mitch came in third only three tenths of a second behind with 16 laps / 5:02.9.

Stock Truck- Alan Wight takes the TQ spot and the win with 15 laps / 5:07. Tracy Carver took the second place position with 14 laps / 5:02. Scott Shearer takes third place with 14 laps / 5:10.

Mod Truck- Daimon Borkowicz’s T4.1 equipped with JConcepts Double Dees tires rear and Carvers fronts took the TQ spot and the A-Main win with an impressive run of 17 laps / 5:16. Leon McIntosh took the second place spot with 16 laps / 5:15. Bruce Bennett takes third.

Mod 4wd- A main had Daniel Castaneda taking the top spot with 16 laps / 5:07.3. Daimon Borkowicz took the second place spot with 16 laps / 5:14 and Brian Lewis for third with 15 laps.

Pro 2 Stock SCT- Had Bruce Bennett taking the first place spot with 15 laps / 5:11. Tracy Carver took the second place spot with 15 laps / 5:16.0 and Paul Boyce takes third only one tenth of a second behind with 15 laps / 5:16.1.

Pro 2 Mod SCT- JR Mitch and Christopher Viesins going head to head for the A main first place position. JR Mitch takes the win with his brand new TLR 22 SCT equipped with JConcepts Bar Codes rear and Double Dees fronts with 15 laps / 5:02.1. Christopher Viesins takes the second place spot only three tenths of a second behind the leader with 15 laps / 5:02.4. Ken Bills takes the third place spot with 15 laps / 5:08.

Pro 4 Mod SCT- Christopher Viesins takes the top spot with an impressive run of 17 laps / 5:03. Chris outfitted the Losi SCT-E with Bar Codes tires in green compound, Hazard wheels and topped off with a Hi-Flow body. Scott Johnson took the second place spot with 16 laps / 5:02. Nicholas Angelides takes the third place spot with 16 laps / 5:03.

1/8 E-Buggy- Scott Johnson takes TQ and the win with 17 laps / 5:20. Landen Lewis took the second place spot with 16 laps / 5:02. Jim Hess took the third place spot with 16 laps / 5:09.
