MyLaps has just released the new version 4.5 firmware for all decoders which now supports their new drone racing transponders as well as R/C car transponders - all on the same decoder.  In an ongoing effort to continually improve the product, this new firmware is now using exclusively their latest RC4 protocol, and consequently will disable all MRT transponders (both red and blue light), as well as the original AMBrc DP transponders and house handout transponders.  All RC4 3-wire and Hybrid 2-wire transponders will still work.

While the hardware is the same, any new decoder box purchases from this point forward are now being shipped with the latest firmware.

We are posting this article as a public service announcement - AVOID buying the generic MRT transponders because they will not work at many clubs and big races.
