Earlier this month we featured a sneak peek of a "mystery chassis" designed for the Traxxas Slash. The chassis is set to be tested and reviewed in the upcoming issue of RCDriver Magazine: Short Course Special.

Turns out we have solved the mystery chassis case, and were put in contact with the man behind it all! SSC (Shinining Star Chassis) and it's lead man, Mark Soliman, is the innovator for this all-new chassis. The new chassis is designed for creating the ultimate Slash 4x4 race machine.

The idea for the LCG (low center of gravity) chassis was inspired by turn marshalling! Mark, a long time racer, had been racing the 2wd Short Course class and was looking to get into the 4wd class as well. After studying the trucks, on and off the track, he decided that he liked the overall truck of the Slash 4x4. He noticed, however, it had a tendency to roll more than some, and this very detail inspired him to create the all-new SSC-LCG chassis kit.

The new chassis not only lowers the center of gravity, but also offers a finned cooling motor mount, center diff mount with oversized bearing (included), tunable battery mount blocks, and more. Designed to offer exceptional handing of corners, jumps, and bumps.

After 200+ hours of Auto-CAD work, and months of testing and development, the new chassis is finally set for production.

SSC has a full line-up of new products for the short course market, and can be seen and purchased at www.SSCLCG.com!
