In case you missed all of the live action this weekend from the 2011 Offroad 1/8 Electric Nationals hosted by Hobbyplex in Omaha, NE, we have put together a quick recap of all the action!
ELECTRIC TRUGGY
TLR's Mike Truhe would start out front, taking the TQ spot in qualifying, but it would be Team Orion/Kyosho's Jared Tebo who would take A1 and A2 wins! He soundly secured the overall championship win, setting out A3 for Mike Truhe to capture the win aftering struggling with issues is A2. The final results finished up as follows:
ELECTRIC BUGGY
Electric buggy would prove to be the most exciting class of the weekend. In qualifying it would be Kyosho's Jared Tebo who would take TQ, followed closely by the Associated's of Cavalieri and Maifield. A1 was what we thought would be the closest race of the day with Tebo finishing up only 1.7 seconds ahead of Ryan Maifield for the win. An absolutely UNBELIEVABLE A2 battle between the two would finish Ryan Maifield out front by .1 seconds ahead of Tebo and Cavalieri. The overall win was now in the hands of Maifield and Tebo as A3 got under way. Back and forth battle for the entire 10 minutes, with only a lap to go it was Maifield - Tebo, then Tebo- Maifield, and as they raced across the line seemingly side by side they would finish up less than a transponder length apart with Jared Tebo taking the win, and sweeping the Electric 1/8 Nationals
