Press Release From Testlogger:
www.testlogger.com

TestLogger today launched Manager v3, the production release of a rewritten platform that has been running in beta with real user data for the past 13 months. TestLogger Manager helps RC racers keep a record of their runs, setups, conditions, lap times, and comments, and see how those connect to performance over time. Version 3 introduces a redesigned user interface, long-term analytics tools, team functionality for data sharing, and Coach TQ. Coach TQ is an AI assistant that automatically makes observations on each run and supports decision-making with plans, reviews, and guidance. TestLogger Manager has always been free to use and remains so, with a new Pro subscription for users who want more out of their data. For teams, Manager v3 adds shared workspaces so drivers, mechanics, team managers, and remote engineers can work from the same run logs, setups, and comments. This is particularly useful at larger events where practice time is limited and team members need to compare data quickly across drivers.Coach TQ, available on the Pro plan, can speed up the work around a track day in concrete ways. It can generate a draft test plan from your run history before the event, and produce a debrief from the session data afterwards. When direct lap time import isn't available, Coach TQ can read your laps from a screenshot or even a photo of the results sheet. In chat mode, Coach TQ can also give new ideas when needed and explain technical concepts in context.More information about Manager v3 and a signup link is available at testlogger.com/manager. The free version covers core functionality for logging data. Pro is €5/month or €30/year and adds Coach TQ, screenshot lap time import, video storage, larger team sizes, and long-term setup tracking.

What Manager v3 is built for

TestLogger's products are built for racers who want to improve through systematic work and better use of data: consistent logging, structured comparison of setup changes against the feedback, and building a useful record over time. Manager v3 is the most significant platform release in pursuit of that goal, with a refined data model designed specifically to make this kind of work practical for RC racers at any level.Manager v3 is a ground-up rewrite. The codebase was rebuilt in different technologies and the data model was redesigned from scratch. While the new data model draws heavily on lessons learned from v2, fundamental architectural limitations were addressed to make the platform future-proof. The 13-month production beta gave the new code time to mature with real user data before v2 was retired. Many RC racers today log data across phones, notebooks, and other RC-related apps, which leaves it too scattered to support detailed analytics or long-term tracking. Manager v3 brings this data into one structured workflow, so racers, mechanics, team managers, and remote engineers can work from the same context whether they are at the track or reviewing data afterwards. This kind of unified workflow is still uncommon even in full-scale motorsport. TestLogger's concept is unusual in that everything from sensor data to long-term statistics can be handled under one workflow and platform. This unified architecture is what makes the long-term analytics and AI features in v3 possible."Most racers know what they should be doing. Log every run, give detailed feedback, compare changes, learn from the history. Racers know systematic work teaches more and helps achieve goals more reliably as you build the skills to react in race situations, whether that's driving or car setup. The hard part is doing it consistently and over the long term, when you don't see results today or tomorrow," said Jussi Luopajärvi, founder of TestLogger. "Manager v3 is a step toward making that systematic work easier and more routine."

Team functionality

Manager v3 adds shared workspaces designed around how RC teams actually work. Drivers and mechanics at the track, a coach who may or may not be present, manufacturers supporting their drivers remotely, and remote data engineers reviewing sensor data between sessions can all access the same workspace. Everyone sees the same setup history, run notes, and analytics, which removes the common pattern of context being scattered across one-to-one talks, messaging systems, or personal notes.

How Coach TQ works

Some of Coach TQ's functionality runs automatically in the background. A chat mode is also available, where users can ask for summaries, technical guidance, and similar assistance. Chat mode is rate-limited to two messages per 24 hours in the free version.Coach TQ's automatic and on-demand capabilities include:

  • Generating rule-based observations for each run (e.g. sentiment, steering balance, data quality) using run data such as lap times and driver comments
  • Generating a test plan for the next track day based on previous sessions, with ongoing tasks and previous issues organized into focus areas such as suspension, drivetrain, and driving
  • Summarizing a track day session as a draft debrief document, with key improvement areas and findings for each focus area
  • Importing lap times from a screenshot or even a photo of a result sheet
  • When Collector data is available, generating a track layout from speed and lateral acceleration, segmenting it into corners and jumps, and producing a written track description that is used as grounding when analyzing issues in chat (see screenshot “FROM COLLECTOR DATA TO TRACK LAYOUT AND COACH TQ DESCRIPTION")

In chat mode, Coach TQ draws on laps, conditions, track profiles, comments, sensor data, car model rules, setup parameters, and setup history to ground its answers in real context. It can, for example, propose prioritized setup experiments with reasoning and notes on what to watch for."The goal is to give racers a thinking partner that helps structure the testing process, not a black box that hands down answers," said Luopajärvi. "Coach TQ is there to support the racer's process, not replace their judgment."

Manager Pro features

  • Unlimited Coach TQ chats
  • Lap time import from photo or screenshot
  • Long-term tracking for setup changes
  • Each Pro member adds two seats to the team's maximum size
  • Videos up to 2 GB can be attached to runs
  • Generate session plans and debriefs with Coach TQ
