A month ago at the ROAR Electric Offroad Nationals we were introduced to the Venom Group's all-new competition 2wd buggy. Driven at the race by team driver, Taylor Peterson, the buggy looked promising and definitely a worthy competitor in the racing scene.

At that time we spoke with one of the lead designers, Andrew Bolton, about the buggy and the future plans for Venom in the racing market. Today we got the opportunity to chat with him a bit about the new buggy and it's progress.

"We have been working on refining the design and after the testing at the ROAR nats were able to improve a lot of the parts and increase the strength of them to increase the durability of the car. Any items that were proving to have failure points have all been updated and have had mold modifications made to them.

We are now waiting on this to be finalized by the factory and we are pretty much ready to swing into production.

Also we have finished the 4 gear, gear box for the mid motor set up as you can see in the attached picture.

We were able to get a lot of data from the race and from continued racing since and have been able to update the design to make what I believe will be a very competitive car in the next year of racing.

We were really happy with the positive response we got from so many people about releasing a race kit and having people welcome yet another option when looking to go racing at a competitive level.

I'm sure there is more to come from us as this is just the start." - Andrew Bolton

We are definitely looking forward to the release of the all-new buggy and certainly can't wait to see the final production in action! If you missed the debut story, pics, and interview with Andrew from the ROAR Nationals check it out by CLICKING HERE!
