EWS Events very pleased to announce the details of the 2022 EWS International!  We're using our normal format as we have done for the last few years with great success, with just a few small changes like happens every year.

===== Date =====
18-20 November 2022

===== Venue =====
Deanes Sports Centre, Thundersley (near Southend), Essex, SS7 2TD
Note: Drivers will need to provide their own table, chair and multi-plug.  These will be provided for those drivers traveling to the race from outside the UK.

===== Format/Time Schedule =====
Friday 18 November: Doors open 17:00.  Practice from 18:00-22:00*
Saturday 19 November:  Doors open 07:30.  Practice*, seeding practice, and Qualifying 1-3
Sunday 20 November:  Doors open 07:30.  Qualifying 4, Triple Finals, Prize Ceremony. Finish around 4-4:30pm

 * NOTE: In an effort to reduce costs as much as possible, we will organise separate practice sessions for those who want to attend on the Friday, and those who can only attend on Saturday onwards.  You MUST mark this on your entry so we know which practice session to allocate you to!

 -  Tamiya Junior-E **

** NOTE:  The Junior-E class will JUST run on the Saturday, with practice, qualifying and finals all taking place on the one day.

===== Tyres and Additive =====
Modified and Stock Touring
TWO sets of marked/numbered Rush 30CPM carpet tyres included in entry fee.

Front Wheel Drive
ONE set of marked/numbered Ride RI-MB-BRCA (belted FWD tyres with six-spoke white wheel) included in entry fee.

Junior-E
Rush 30CPM carpet tyres - bring your own.

Only marked tyres can be used for Qualifying and Finals.  Marked or unmarked tyres may be used for practice and seeding rounds.

Additive is MR33 V4 (Green) and will be provided for use in the designated additive area.  Tyres may only be cleaned with the hand-out additive or regular brake cleaner.  No tyre warmers are allowed.  No modification may be made to the tyres or wheels, with the exception of the removal of the tyre centre mould line.

===== Bodyshell and Wing =====
Modified and Stock
Bodyshells must be on the BRCA or ETS lists as of 1 October 2022Bodyshell list to be published here at that date.
​Wing must be made of lexan only (NO carbon fibre endplates) and fixed directly to the body in the intended position, with no spacers etc.  Maximum wing width 190mm.  Maximum wing cross section 40x20mm, measured at any point across the width of the wing.

Bodyshells must be on the BRCA or ETS lists as of 1 October 2022Bodyshell list to be published here at that date. Only wings included with the bodyshells may be used.

===== General Rules =====
Minimum Weight:  Touring Car: 1300g / FWD: 1250g
5mm minimum ride height for all parts of chassis and bodyshell.
​General BRCA/EFRA chassis dimensions and construction rules apply.  Chassis layout (position of motor, electronics, etc) is free.
All rules as per EWS 2022/2023 season.

===== Motors and Speed Controllers =====
Modified
Any modified motor to BRCA/IFMAR rules.  Any ESC.

Stock
17.5 motors to BRCA list as of 1 October 2022 (i.e. motors added to the list later cannot be used).  All competitors must use Blinky/Zero timing speed controllers.  Motor List to be published here at that date.

Front Wheel Drive
Hobbywing Justock G2.1 17.5 motor with Hobbywing Justock G3 ESC (This is the same as the combo used by the BRCA National events in 2022).  RPM limit and Gearing will be determined in advance of the event.  This may be adjusted throughout the event in order to create an appropriate speed for the class and track.

===== Batteries =====
For all classes competitors must use 7.4v or 7.6v (2 cell) commercially available (in the UK) hard cased LiPo batteries. Batteries must be charged to a maximum of 8.40v. Whilst connected to a charger/discharger batteries must be securely placed in a LiPo sack. Batteries must be charged or discharged using a LiPo charger on the LiPo settings, and must not be charged/discharged in excess of the manufactures guidelines, or 20A, whichever is lower.  No heating or cooling of cells are allowed during charging or discharging.

===== Transponders =====
We use the MyLaps RC4 Decoder.  Any MyLaps and AMB Transponder will be supported, as will the newer MRT PTx.  The original MRT transponders will not work.  It is the racers responsibility to ensure their transponder is compatible.  If you do not have a compatible transponder, you will be able to rent one from EWS for £5 per meeting.  More information on the different transponder types can be found here.


===== Entries =====
Entries are initially limited to 130 maximum.  All entries must be made via MyRCM at the link below (no account is needed).
ENTRIES OPEN AT 19:30 UK TIME (20:30 CET) ON THURSDAY 29 SEPTEMBER.

Entry fee:
Modified/Stock:  £95 (including TWO sets of tyres)
£50 deposit is payable upon making your entry, and remaining £45 is due by 1 November 2022.

Front Wheel Drive:  £75 (including ONE set of tyres)
£50 deposit is payable upon making your entry, and remaining £25 is due by 1 November 2022.

Junior-E:  £20 (no tyres included) - The Junior-E class will JUST run on the Saturday.

You may initially only enter ONE class - subject to numbers we will allow second entries in a few weeks time.

No refunds can be offered once the deposit or balance is paid.
