The change has started. We thank you loyal customers for 9+ years under the Addiction RC name, you helped us be Utah's only track to not close in the past decade. As part of our rebuild and new ownership we have chosen a new name. and have a curiosity question for you are the end as well.

Here's the brief history of the new name and why it was chosen.

At the beginning of this year we were looking at a logo redesign. design after design idea after idea it just didn't turn out the way we wanted. Fast forward a couple months the idea to ground up overhaul the business meant deciding to stick with the name or change it. In business changing your name is often not a wise move, but in our industry with it being dominated by repeat business. Changing the name does not hold as many risks I felt. So on we went. We tossed around name after name but none seemed as fitting as Focus.

Why was it fitting? Besides being a visually appealing word. Or being fitting to the industry or what it takes to compete. Focus some may not know is actually a nick name I was given, from my time spent in 1;1 scale racing at the local short track ovals. While at the race shop one day it all started while washing the car getting ready raceday. A fellow racer also at the shop noticed my tongue sticking out as it usually does when I focus said the line that started the nickname " ah Focus son" adapting the famous line from Karate Kid to me waxing the body of the racecar. Every time there after my tongue came out all I would hear was ah focus son. The nickname shortened to just Focus when I was no longer being called it just when my tongue was out. Eventually in my tight racing circle it was the name I became accustom to hearing when spoken to.

So fast forwarding to the idea out of the favorite name ideas Focus was at my bottom of the list because it felt weird to be personal, but in the end is what made it feel so fitting. Getting to stamp your name on something is awesome, even if its just those few who know me by Focus means that much more. Plus its not a non fitting name to the purpose of the business or the skill you must obtain to be good at this hobby we all must have focus to do this hobby well. So it fit with out ever needing to know its significance. It looks great visually, plus it as fewer letters so wont look busy in stickers or on shirts or get creative with down the road logos.

I do want to thank Cooper Hurt for helping me create the new logo it looks great. Of course my wife and family for the months of me questioning what to do and offer their opinions it was truly their no hesitation it should be Focus that it is named that today so thank you.

The traditional color for the business will be the silver version, but we (Cooper and I) have built the logo to be ever every color under the sun, along with some very cool variations as well. which leads to the question.

Which logo color do you like the best? What other color would you like to see it in?
