Baruffolo and Canas Win at Padova Winter Cup

Race Report by Marco Baruffolo

Last weekend there was the WIR race in IBR Padova. This time the condition of the track was totally different from other times, black surface with no grip. In the first 2 days of race we struggled a lot with setup and tyres but fortunately before the qualification we found a good setup for improve steering and traction.

On Saturday the conditions changed again before qualies, it started to rain outside and the track had more grip due to the humidity. During 3 rounds of qualifications we tried different compounds of the tyres and different patterns. After the qualies I was 5th in e-buggy and 7th in nitro. 

In nitro semifinal and final I used Bangkok Soft and it was the right choice. Won the semi and started with N.1 in the final. I knew that me and Berton had same consistency so it would be a long final. After 45 minutes final I won just by 0.8 second in front of Berton.
