It was a very successful Italian National Trophy that took place last weekend at Minicar Fontanellato near Parma. Seventy competitors attended the two-day race which is sanctioned by ACI Sport, the Italian motorsport and RC Car Racing Federation and member of the FIA.

The race took place in excellent weather conditions marked however by high temperatures which kept drivers very busy in finding the optimal settings for their cars. A great organizing and logistical effort was put in place by the organizers and by the Race Direction which allowed the event to take place flawlessly and in full compliance with the race timetables.

In TOURING MODIFIED, Mattia Collina (Team Schumacher) confirmed his great moment of form and won the race. Second place went to Alessio Menicucci (Team Xray) ahead of Alessio Tolomelli (Team Marka – Awesomatix).

In TOURING STOCK, Orlando Fenili (Team Xray) snatches the pole position and, after some hesitation during the first of the three finals, wins in style in the second and third finals grabbing the overall win. Second place for Alessandro Bianchi (Team B-Racing) in front of Federico Collina (Team Schumacher).

In FWD, Riccardo Laletta (Team Marka – Awesomatix) is confirmed as the driver to beat, taking pole and victory ahead of Andrea Tonini and William Carrato (Team Marka – Awesomatix).

Finally, in the GT category, Andrea Tonini took advantage of some technical problems of the very young pole man Edoardo Guarneri and took the win over Alberto Montecchi (Mon-tech Racing) and Massimiliano Musetti.
