In 1981 Joel Johnson attended his first ROAR Nationals taking 2 titles and 3 more podiums in his first year, in 2021 he is back competing at Steel City in 1/8th Open 40 years later. Joel isn't running masters this year despite easily qualifying, he seeded 4th in Open and is ready to try to take down another title 40 years after his first.

Joel has 34 national titles with the most being in 1/8th Open in 2007 for Kyosho in Las Vegas. He is also the 1987 2wd Off-Road World Champion, and 1992 TC World Champion. Follow along here to see how he does in this year's event. www.roar.liverc.com/results/
