Race Report by Mike Legue

Last weekend I attended the annual Michigan State Championships at Dirtburner Racing in Livonia, MI. This race typically brings out a few heavy hitters and this year didn't disappoint. I ran mod 2wd, mod 4wd and decided to run E buggy at the last minute as well. With 156 entires there was plenty of time for all 3. I was able to get a few short hours of practice on Friday afternoon after work. No real changes were made from my typical setups as all 3 cars felt great. I spent most of the time just learning the new layout and breaking tires in. Saturday rolled around and went great. After 3 rounds I would end up taking TQ  honors in E buggy and in 4wd mod over both Ayden and Allen Horne. And qualifying 2nd in mod 2wd by just a few seconds behind Allen. Mod 4wd and E buggy both were great! I would lead both tone to tone and take the wins in both classes. Although Ayden had a last minute push in 4wd. I had more then enough ground on him as my XB4 was money all day as usual.

2wd main was a toss up. I should've went with a little less pin as traction had come way up as the day progressed. So my car was a little loose and I couldn't "push it" very hard. A last minute mistake on the last lap had me finishing 3rd behind the Hornes.
