Livermore Doubles at The Thanksgiving Dash for Cash

Race report by Marc Livemore

Due to Covid Social Distance Guidelines, the race was limited 5 or 6 (per heat/main) on the drivers stand. Layout was challenging, fast and high traction (CRC Black Carpet). Everyone struggled slightly with the changing track conditions and made for some great racing and a lot of wrenching as we were chasing the track conditions. No complaints from drivers

The program was silky smooth, we ran 4 qualifiers and triple A mains. Austintown Hobby always has an uplifting positive vibe and the people are great. I would make this my local track if it wasn't for the 4 hour driver one way.

The only negative for the event was the limited racers due to Covid social distance guidelines from the Ohio governor.

I was able to secure the overall TQ during 4 rounds of qualifying… We ran triple mains. A1 I had a small tap taking me to 2nd position for a 2nd place finish in A1. A2 and A3 I ran tone to tone to take both wins, giving me the overall 1stplace result.
