The 2019 North West Carpet Nationals and Round #2 of the JConcepts Carpet/Astro National Series was held April 12th-14th at North West Hobbies in Albany, Oregon. This would be considered a "hometown" race for Yokomo, as our USA Team Manager Joe Pillars lives just 1 hour away from North West Hobbies. Yokomo would have a huge presence at this event and great race results would follow!
 
With 141 total race entries, North West Hobbies would set a new record with the most entries so far in the series!

Race Schedule:
Friday, April 12th: Open Practice
Saturday, April 14th: 3 Rounds of Qualifying
Sunday, April 15th: Lower Main Bump-ups / A-Main Events

4wd Modified Buggy

In the 4wd Modified Buggy class, Yokomo's Ryan Maifield showed great speed and would qualify a close 2nd overall. Maifield took the big Wins in A-Main #1 & A-Main #3, to take home the 4wd Modified Buggy Championship! Maifield is the official series points leader in the 4wd Modified Buggy class after two rounds of racing!

13.5 4wd Buggy

In the 13.5 4wd Buggy class, Yokomo's Matt Gonzales dominated qualifying to take the overall TQ honors with his Trinity powered YZ-4 SF! Gonzales took the impressive Wins in A-Mains #1 & #2, to claim his 1st Championship of the weekend! Gonzales is the official series points leader in the 13.5 4wd Buggy class after two rounds of racing with a perfect score!

17.5 2wd Buggy

In the 17.5 2wd Buggy class, Yokomo's Matt Gonzales also went onto take the overall TQ with his Trinity powered YZ-2 CA L2! Gonzales took the hard fought Wins in A-Main #1 and then again in A-Main #3, to take home his 2nd Championship of the weekend and complete the clean sweep! Gonzales is also the official series points leader in the 17.5 2wd Buggy class after two rounds of racing with a perfect score!
