Maifield Wins The 2026 ROAR 1/8th Electric Truggy National Championship [VIDEO]

As the first day of the 2026 ROAR 1/8th Off-Road Nationals comes to an end, we already have one national champion crowned as Ryan Maifield has won the Etruggy portion of the event.

Seth VanDalen would top the charts in seeding then carry that momentum into qualifying where he would take the overall TQ for the class. Seth would TQ rounds 1 and 3, Ryan Maifield would TQ round 2 which would be enough to start 2nd on the grid with Spencer Rivkin starting 3rd.

Ryan Maifield would win A1 with Spencer Rivkin winning A2. This would setup a 3 way fight for the win in A3 as Seth VanDalen grabbing 2nd in the first two mains would mean that mathematically Maifield, Rivkin, and VanDalen could all still win the overall championship with a win in A3. Ryan Maifield would bobble early in A3 falling as far back as 4th but would make passes back to 2nd and eventually make the pass for the lead after a wide corner from Seth. Unfortunately VanDalen would not finish A3 giving Spencer Rivkin 2nd in the final main and 2nd overall. Seth's two 2nd place finishes would be good enough for 3rd overall.l
