The Avid RC Xray Shock Shaft Conversion gets rid of the highly annoying e-clip mounting for your pistons. Our system has the perfect tolerance so when you fully tighten down the screw, the full assortment of pre-drilled Avid pistons are still allowed to slightly spin keeping it from deforming. To finish them off they are chrome-plated to ensure the smoothest surface possible.

Conversion Details
-High-strength steel that is chrome plated to give an ultra-smooth shock operation.
-Replaces the XRA368162 and must use Avid Xray Conversion Pistons (AV10228)
-Includes: (2) 3x40mm chrome shock shafts, (2) piston washers, and (2) piston screws.
-Fits: XB2 and XB4 13.2mm Shocks

Piston Overview

The Avid machined 13.2mm pistons are for the Xray Avid Shock Shaft Conversion for the new Xray big bore shocks. They offer a conventional setup but with a perfectly machined round piston and square 90° edges for a tight-fitting piston that has little blow-by creating more pack on jumps. The Xray ground piston only comes in blanks and it has a slight indentation cut on the top taking away from its total thickness. Over the years here at Avid, we have developed a process of keeping all the edges sharp with little to no burrs to keep your confidence high when landing big jumps.

Piston Features
-Fits the new 13.2mm Xray shocks using the Xray Avid Shock Shaft Conversion (13mm bore, 2.5mm shaft hole, 2.5mm thick).
-Machined perfectly round with square 90° edges for a tighter fit to the bore of the shock body for less blow-by creating more pack on jumps.
-This 2.5mm thickness allows the shock to pack more on big landings and better corner stability.
-Includes 2 dimples for those that want to add smaller slow speed damping holes *Not Shown
-Upgrade for XRAY368032.
-Each package includes (2) pistons inside of a Doodad container.
