Straight out of the JConcepts 3rd dimension, the 3DP tire designed and developed for carpet off-road racing is a new winner in the line-up. Up to this point, the JConcepts Fuzz Bite, Pin Swag, and artificial surface tires have dominated events around the world. The superior design, tire compounds, and pre-mount availability have established these items as go-to favorites for racers for the last several years. Introducing the latest, the 3DP revolutionary tire capable of high-performance with advanced wear characteristics. A longer life span on the carpet is created by adding pins and surface edges without reducing driving stability.
Looking back in the JConcepts arsenal, a dirt tire was released in 2011 named the 3D. The tire was developed as half pin and half bar tire to give a lot of flexibility on different surfaces. Using this identity, the team from Groveland, Florida adapted the Fuzz Bite “reverse water tower pins” to the 3DP with a massive increase in pin quantity for the center portion of the tire. For the inside and outside positions, unique bars which have been cut and sliced for increased flexibility are positioned like the original 3D dirt tire.
More pins are added in the open spaces utilizing the original concept to allow slightly more space on the outside. A radial ring is added to the outside portion of the upper sidewall to provide low edges of contact patch to the racing surface. The 2.2” bead mounting diameter fits to popular wheels like the #3376 Mono wheels available in bright white and fluorescent yellow. In addition to Mono wheels, JConcepts also offers separate the Pioneer wheels for modern vehicles featuring the raised panel design available in new colors such as retro pink.
A unique feature on all JConcepts advanced artificial surface tires are the scalloped tire beads which remove weight from a normally beefy area. The tips of the bead touch off on the inner beads on the wheel which lead to a great alignment but now with reduced rotating weight. During the gluing process, it is also handy to have some breathing room for the glue process, and the geometry gives many edges and ledges to adhere to. The 3DP tires are available as unmounted, and pre-mounted options in either bright white or fluorescent yellow wheel color combinations. Available in original pink (medium) compound, brown (medium soft), and new purple (soft) compound to provide more grip when surfaces have worn or lower traction conditions exist.

Like the name suggests, the Pin Swag tire combines the outer lugs of a JConcepts Swagger front tire with the dense arrangement of specialty pins. Now optimized as a 2wd front tire, the pins themselves are round and crisp to the top where they climax to a point. Near the sidewall, the Swag enters with a smooth transition and drops off to a ledge giving steering control.
The Swag is split down the center to give a little individual control to contort to surfaces. In between, a stagger section with angular front is placed just behind a vertical rib to complete the design. The tight spacing of the Pin and Swag bite together and minimize wear across the carcass. The Pin Swag also includes an innovative open cell insert with scalloped inner diameter to cushion the tire and provide folding under corner force to increase steering response. The narrow insert fits inside the tire and wheel combination and stabilizes the inner carcass for better rolling speed and jump impacts.
Fits - 2.2" standard width 2wd front wheel #3347 and 4wd front wheels such as #3353 make the perfect complement to these new tire possibilities.
