JConcepts has released 4 new Chevy Truck body options for the Losi Mini-LMT platform.
In the early 1990's, several teams stepped up in the Monster Truck racing game to put Chevrolet back on top. With improved suspension systems and a longer wheelbase chassis aided by computer designs, the need for a specialty body was created. The "Snoop Nose" fiberglass body was used by the Chevy boys which featured an extended wheelbase, larger wheel well openings, and of course, a low-slung front clip which gives it that "snoop" appearance.
JConcepts revives a cult favorite with a completely redesigned body for Mini LMT solid axle monster truck. The wheelbase is perfect for solid runners in today's racing and with a proportioned width and "snoop nose," the Chevy is a cut above the rest. The tucked front nose provides clearance for an assortment of tires such as the Renegades and Racers while the shaved front and rear bumper faces the competition like a fighting bull. The main structure of the body remains a genuine Chevrolet style used from 1988-1998 and deep down represents the "Heartbeat of America" generation.
Decal design is a constant focus and with all JConcepts bodies, a quality sheet is included with grille, headlight, and taillight layout. Many JConcepts logos, brands and product names have also been included to give a full complement of useable artwork. Best of all, the new body delivers the style that today’s Monster Trucker is looking for without compromising on the rugged and dependable qualities. The Chevy Snoopnose is a sample of the bold, new offerings constantly in the queue with JConcepts.
This combination is intended to be used without the standard cage fitted to the traditional Mini LMT chassis layout. Instead, install the included body mounts on the chassis and use the appropriate angled style mount to the front and parallel mount to the rear. Adjust the height front and rear to personal liking and install the body clips as a traditional body. Body clip leashes are also included to help keep the clips in order; these can be installed to user preference and position of choice. Several different height and angled mounts are included for future projects and releases to accommodate an assortment of MT body shells.
Each package includes window mask, 1988 generation Chevy specific decal sheet, JConcepts #5230 body mount set, and clear polycarbonate body. 1988 was a great time to be a Chevy fan with the release of the new “Heartbeat of America” fleetside pick-up truck. Trucks were starting to become one of the most popular automobiles on the road and Chevy was in the thick of it with a brand-new release. The fleetside design is spot-on featuring slight curvature to the main shape, new headlights, grille treatment and form-fitting wheel wells. The slight flare to the tire openings gives just a little wrinkle to the bedsides and front fenders to accommodate different sized tires for maximum versatility.

When it comes to monster trucks, Chevrolet has a die-hard following going back to the square body designs of the 70’s and 80’s. A keen eye will detect the family heritage in Chevy trucks and the 2014 features the angular wheel wells that are so popular and now JConcepts is bringing another favorite to the Mini LMT RC loyalist.
A heavy project for the JConcepts R&D team was developing this body to length and width specifications while maintaining the single cab layout. The result, the Silverado has an inspiring look, something that makes a driver proud to be a truck enthusiast without the fear of racing it. The exterior design blends a strong and study look while refining the details reserved for modern aesthetics.
A twin-port grille, full-width bumper and dual power hump hood create a strong presence, which is carried through in sculpted body sides and fender flares. The grille area has not been compromised and accepts the detailed JConcepts decal sheet and includes two different grille and headlight options. The tailgate is rigid in appearance with a slight undercut that is so common on the Chevrolet trucks. The 2014 Silverado’s bed features a slight recess which painters can leave clear or detail to their specification on any build. No race truck would be complete without a bobbed rear bedside to give racers extra clearance and an unmistakable visual rake.

The 2005 Chevy Silverado is a big, all-American truck, and it looks the part, with its wide face and stylish yet slab-sided flanks. Ninety-degree angles dominate the styling providing that all-important Chevy “bowtie” look and the horizontal hardlines along the body panels ensures the truck's dramatic road presence. The “cat-eye” headlights stare down the competition while the upper and lower grille marks its territory and provides an impactful arrival.
