A thrilling follow-up to the popular Anvil, The Forge is the freshest release from JConcepts for 12.3” wheelbase crawler trucks. Simply put, the new body shell has an added rear bed which arrives attached to the main cab. The mock sheet metal type bed design is a powerful figure out on the trails and once connected to the most popular cab in the JConcepts line-up, The Anvil, the connected unit drops on a competition inspired truck with the meanest look in the woods.
You can mock us, but you can’t stop us. Being out on the racetrack has taught us quite a bit over the years, it’s important to be resilient. However, being tough as nails doesn’t hurt either. Surviving, standing out, and performing in social media space, and ultimately out on the terrain, JConcepts set out to deliver something special and unique to the competition crawler heads. The Anvil body combined with new panel bed sports a tough look, like the name suggests the bully from Groveland, Florida is something you can hammer on.
The cab treatment, with panelized bed and drop-top styling blends together some of the more popular features of other JConcepts body shells into one. Set out to drop on popular chassis combinations based on the 12.3” wheelbase vehicle, The Forge looks menacing just standing still. The pre-trimmed body has a militant heart but dropped to lower the center of gravity on builds just to perform on the rocks, hills, and whatever the trail sends its way. Thin, sheet metal looking fender flares line the front tire opening and the cutline spills into the grille area for maximum clearance for an abundance of tire options.
The bed itself is utilitarian; the recessed floor provides ample room for accessories or can be trimmed to expose suspension systems or chassis geometry for the lowest installation. Bed railings are undercut to look like a sheet metal build while 3D panels are raised on the sides against the flanged rear flares to look like the real deal. Tailgate area has a maximum industrial look with placement area perfect for included pre-trimmed decals. The rear window is easily seen above the newly placed bed and pre-trimmed window masks help the user detail quickly and efficiently.
Headlights and grille can make or break a body design, JConcepts has included a pre-trimmed decal sheet to match with multiple options, distressed logos and JConcepts Off-Road Shop specialty aesthetics. The long hood of the Anvil is also low-profile and has a change of height to add detail and rigidity to the concept. Recessed side windows with arched front window minimizes drag while still being able to have visibility for a “mock” driver.
The body arrives as clear polycarbonate, with protective film and is pre-trimmed for convenience. The JConcepts team builds, tests, and travels the world to support the brand and gathers valuable driver feedback in search of the best appearing and performance items on the market. The product is designed in the U.S.A. and always backed by JConcepts customer service, supported, and developed by professionals with style. Look for reputable dealers and distributors and demand authentic products – choose JConcepts.
