The team at JConcepts are always innovating and adding to an arsenal of fine racing tread patterns and compounds. The carpet and turf racing scene are hotter than ever, and with more courses, the team works harder than ever to deliver more options to a hungry crowd of racers. Introducing the Fuzz Bite, the 2wd front tire was designed into radius positioning to enhance the drive on a range of surfaces.
The Fuzz Bite front tire lands on a super low-profile carcass. The super low stance provides quick transition at high-speed and minimizes side-wall deflection and roll. The pin is specially built in a reverse “water tower” shape planting the larger base at the bottom and narrowing at the top for precision. The pins are placed in a radius and repeated about for a healthy nest of pins to dig deep into matting in office carpet or tight knit CRC carpeting.
The alternating rows of pins provide side-bite, increased steering response and the tightness of the package creates a nimble racing vehicle. The arrangement of the pins promotes good wear characteristics and traction longevity. The Fuzz Bite incorporates a small radial rib on the outside with angular cross to give consistent cornering but also additional mid-corner steering.
A unique feature on the Fuzz Bite is the scalloped tire bead which removes a lot of weight from a normally beefy area. The tips of the bead touch off on the inner beads on a wheel which lead to a great alignment but now with reduced un-sprung weight. During the gluing process, it is also handy to have some breathing room for the glue process, and the geometry gives many edges and ledges to adhere to.
The super low-profile tires do not require foam inserts. The 2.2” bead mounting diameter fits to popular slim wheels like the #3376 Mono wheels available in bright white and fluorescent yellow.

Like the name suggests, the Pin Swag tire combines the outer lugs of a JConcepts Swagger front tire with the dense arrangement of specialty pins. Now optimized as a 2wd and 4wd front tire with wide body carcass, the pins themselves are round and crisp to the top where they climax to a point. Near the sidewall, the Swag enters with a smooth transition and drops off to a ledge giving steering control.
The Swag is split down the center to give a little individual control to contort to surfaces. The wide carcass allows the Pin Swag to mount on standard width 2wd and 4wd front wheels and provides a large contact patch in the front. In between, a stagger section with angular front is placed just behind a vertical rib to complete the design. The tight spacing of the Pin and Swag bite together and minimize wear across the carcass. An already low-profile carcass like the successful Fuzz Bites rolls through the turns and transitions well at high and low speeds.

The Pin Swag also includes an innovative open cell insert with scalloped inner diameter to cushion the tire and provide folding under corner force to increase steering response. The narrow insert fits inside the tire and wheel combination and stabilizes the inner carcass for better rolling speed and jump impacts.

JConcepts hits the track with another weapon for the carpet and astroturf racing world. The Nessi tire shares styling cues from its successful brother, the Lockness. Racing on artificial surfaces requires a lot of stability and forward-bite and the design team went to work to substantially improve performance. The new tire brings a new 3D blended pin-size, pin-separation, and a lightweight and incredibly low-profile carcass.
Designed in the industry standard 2.2” bead mounting size, the Nessi is very versatile and has shown to work in many natural and artificial conditions. The semi-circle protrusions, unique to the Lockness and now the Nessi are included in the center section of the tire and on the sidewall area. These details are important and the low semi-circles improve side-bite but also minimize grip-rolling instances associated with normal pins.
The medium compound marked with a pink dot, and soft marked with a purple dot represent the JConcepts options of compounds with good wear characteristics. The rear tires include open cell inserts making them a complete set ready to mount, straight out of the package.
