Press Release From JConcepts:

With the surge of vintage options entering the market, JConcepts has dug back into the arsenal for new flat wing options. Going back to the late stages of the RC10 and early stages of RC10B2 generation racing, the flat 5.5” wing was a standard option for racers. The very simple layout, single height deck, one angle transition and low rear gurney option were all racers needed. The flat wing has simple yet tall side dams with near 90-degree corners on the leading edge completing a more box stock appearance.
Incorporating the wing back into today’s racing, the JConcepts team included all the successful properties of an original and incorporated that into two available width options. Since the 5.5” width is an original standard and what is used on the current JConcepts Detonator wing, it was a natural width selection. However, the team also included another option utilizing a popular modern width of 7.0” to add an option consistent with today’s popular racing to provide a bit more force and drag on the rear of the vehicle.
The wing is conveniently marked with dimples for RC10 width and RC10B2 | RC10B3 width considerations. Also, a center line is added to the wing to help mounting these options on all brand vehicles including Factory Team RC10’s and RC10 4wd vehicles. A simple, yet detailed wing design provides plenty of “sling” clearance for dirt and debris from the rear tires. Two selections of gurney options on the rear of the wing gives racers a selection of heights to trim to, depending on the level of traction.
