Press Release From Revolution Design:

The Revolution Design Tungsten Shorty Battery Weight is a precision-ground 0.5 mm tungsten plate that adds 42 g of ballast directly beneath any 95 mm shorty LiPo pack. Because tungsten has a density of about 19.3 g/cm³—more than twice that of brass (≈ 8.5 g/cm³) and steel (≈ 7.8 g/cm³)—the plate can be less than half as thick as common 1–1.2 mm brass or steel alternatives. The lower profile lets the battery sit roughly 0.7 mm deeper in the tray, dropping the car’s centre of gravity for crisper turn-in and more stable landings on high-grip tracks. Machined edges and a matte finish give the plate a premium look, while the raw tungsten resists corrosion without additional coatings.

FEATURES

  • Ultra-dense tungsten construction (≈ 19.3 g/cm³) for maximum weight in minimum volume
  • Just 0.5 mm thick: lowers the battery and centre of gravity far more than brass plates
  • Exact shorty footprint (95 × 47 mm)
  • Universal fit for 1/10 off-road and touring cars that accept 95 mm shorty packs

TECHNICAL DATA

  • Material: Tungsten alloy
  • Weight: 42 g
  • Length × Width × Thickness: 95 mm × 47 mm × 0.50 mm
  • Finish: Fine-ground, natural tungsten grey

Designed for full-length 2S stick packs, the Revolution Design Tungsten Battery Weight adds a concentrated 60 g exactly where racers want it, under the LiPo and as low as mechanically possible. Using the same 0.5 mm tungsten architecture as its shorty sibling, it achieves the target mass with roughly half the thickness of comparable brass plates. The lower profile lets the battery sit roughly 0.7 mm deeper in the tray, dropping the car’s centre of gravity for crisper turn-in and more stable landings on high-grip tracks.

FEATURES

  • 60 g of ballast in a 0.5 mm tungsten plate for unrivalled mass-to-height ratio
  • Full-size 138 mm stick-pack coverage
  • Lowers battery ~0.7 mm versus typical 1-1.2 mm brass solutions
  • Ideal for touring cars classes running 2S stick packs

TECHNICAL DATA

  • Material: Tungsten alloy
  • Weight: 60 g
  • Length × Width × Thickness: 138 mm × 47 mm × 0.50 mm
  • Finish: Fine-ground tungsten grey
