Press Release From Schumacher RC:

Developed to deliver smooth, predictable handling and improved drivability, particularly in the high-grip conditions commonly found in LMP12 racing, Schumacher has released an Eclipse 6 steel chassis.

The specially developed 1.1mm spring steel chassis combines an ultra-low centre of gravity with a chassis width reduced by 11.5mm. Its reduced thickness lowers all chassis-mounted components by 0.9mm, helping to improve overall balance and handling.

Weighing 91.2g, 7g heavier than the standard 2mm alloy chassis, the steel chassis has been engineered to provide fast yet easy-to-drive characteristics, with increased mid-corner rotation, a smoother feel and a wider setup window.

Key Benefits

  • Lower centre of gravity – all chassis-mounted components sit 0.9mm lower.
  • 11.5mm narrower chassis for refined handling.
  • Increased mid-corner rotation and a wider setup window.
  • Specially developed spring steel for smooth, predictable performance.
  • Ideal for the high-grip conditions typically encountered in LMP12 racing.

The U9620 set includes the steel chassis, carbon fibre topdecks, side links and specially designed mounting hardware. The mounting screws require a Torx T7 driver. The Takashima T7 driver and handle (TKSM-185) are available separately. The upgrade set is also compatible with the Schumacher Eclipse 5.
