This past weekend, Thornhill Racing Circuit hosted the 2025 ROAR 1/8th Scale Off-Road Nationals, Dakotah Phend would take the win in Nitro Buggy, Ebuggy, and Nitro Truggy with Brandon Rose claiming his first championship in Etruggy.
Ebuggy: Dakotah Phend would take the A1 and A2 win in Ebuggy to end the weekend early in that class. Chase Lemieux would go from 3rd on the grid to finish 2nd in A1 and A2 and take the win in A3. Ryan Maifield would go from 8th to finish 3rd in A2 and A3 and end up 3rd overall.
Etruggy: Brandon Rose would take the Etruggy win after A2 after finishing 1st in the first two mains. TQ, Ryan Maifield, would recover to finish 2nd overall with a win in A3 and Dakotah Phend would take 3rd with two 2nd place finishes.
Nitro Truggy: The Truggy main would setup for the first of two epic nitro duels on the weekend. Dakotah Phend would lead the majority of the race but Ryan Maifield was never far behind. This would setup for an absolute slugfest of a last 3 lap battle where the drivers would swap blows and trade paint down to the wire with Phend taking the win. Maifield would finish up 2nd with Jared Wiggins finishing up a strong 3rd over a lap back.
