Race Report by Max Gotzl

The first round of 2019 1/10 Czech National series was held last weekend in a sport hall in Bohumin.

There was an open practice on Friday, but only two hours in the evening, as the hall was open for us late.

The qualifying went great to my side, I took the TQ in Q1 with all my cars, XB2, XB4 and XT2. I secured the TQ already in 4wd and Truck after the Q2, but with 2wd made some mistakes.  I went for it in the Q3, but somehow, the loop didn´t count one of my laps, which caused me to finish 2nd, and so also on the grid, behind Marek Schiller and in front of Pavel Dostál. In 4wd it was Ales Bidovsky 2nd and Marek 3rd, in Truck Michal Pospisil 2nd and Ales Bidovsky 3rd.

I was able to win the A1 with 2wd, but unfortunately couldn’t make it in the A2. But I didn’t give up and I put a good run in A3 to take the win and also the overall one! Ales won the A2, so he finished overall 2nd and Marek 3rd.

I took an easy win in A1 and A2 to take the overall Win with the Truck! Michal Pospisil took an easy 2nd place to make it XRAY 1-2 and Ales finished 3rd.

In 4wd it was Ales who was able to win the A1 and A2 to take the overall win, I unfortunately wasn‘t able to transfer the TQ into a win, but won the A3 at least, to take the overall 2nd, in front of 3rd Marek!
