Report by Matt Wallace

The popular JBRL Electric series visited West Coast RC Raceway last weekend for Round #5. The track layout made for some exciting racing and it was another successful event with over 200 entries. Pro-Line MC tires are perfect for the indoor clay surface and Pro-Line tires went on to win 5 classes and sweep the podium in 3 of the classes!

Mod 2wd Short Course: 1. Nick Blais 2. Adam Gragg 3. Matt Gilbert

The Pro-Line Team sweeps the Mod 2wd Short Course podium with Pro-Line Ion SC tires and Pro-Line bodies! Nick Blais won the main running Pro-Line’s own Pro-2 conversion truck! The truck is made up of a ton of performance accessories that are Durable, Proven and Performs at the track: Pro-2 Chassis, Performance Transmission, ProTrac Suspension Kit and more!

1/8 Electric Buggy: 1. Cody King 2. Nick Blais

Pro-Line Ion Tires swept the podium of the 10 minute Electric 1/8 Buggy A-Main. Pro-Line’s Cody King took the win with Pro-Line’s BullDog body and Velocity Wheels. Nick Blais drove an awesome race to finish in 2nd and make it 1-2 for Pro-Line team drivers. 3rd place also ran Pro-Line Ion tires for a complete podium sweep and total domination.

Mod Truck: 1. Nolan Anderson

Pro-Line’s Nolan Anderson wins Mod Truck with Pro-Line’s Ion T tires, Suburbs T tires and BullDog body for his T4.2! Great job Nolan.

Super Stock SC: 1. Matt Gilbert 2. Adam Gragg

Pro-Line Ion SC tires sweep the podium in Super Stock Short Course with Pro-Line drivers Matt Gilbert and Adam Gragg going 1-2! Great work guys.

Stock Buggy: 1. Mike Fisk

Mike Fisk chose Pro-Line tires to do battle in the highly competitive Stock Buggy class and came out on top! Mike used Suburbs and Scrubs to get him to victory.

Mod Buggy: 2. Cody Turner

Last years Mod buggy champion and Pro-Line driver Cody Turner finished a strong 2nd in the stacked Mod Buggy class. This result gave him great points and a good shot of repeating his championship. Cody used Suburbs and Ion fronts for incredible traction.

Super Stock Buggy: TQ Nick Wautlet 2. Wayne Wyrick

The heart-breaker race for me to watch was Super Stock buggy. Pro-Line’s Nick Wautlet was TQ and easily looked to be the fastest car running Protons and Ions. Unfortunately, Nick made a mistake on the second or third lap and then the turn marshal accidentally ripped his body off as he tried to flip the car over. This put Nick last and way behind with no shot at the win. Pro-Line’s Wayne Wyrick had a great race to finish 2nd for a good points paying day.

JBRL round 5 was another great day for the Pro-Line Team and we are looking forward to the next round at the new indoor facility in Bakersfield – Rainman’s Hobby & Raceway!
