ProTek RC Pro Team Driver Frank Ulbrik continued to set drag racing records this weekend, becoming the first-ever NPRC racer to post both a sub 1.50 ET and surpass the 100-mph barrier in an NPRC competition en route to winning the Outlaw Championship at 419 Dragway’s Fall Classic in Maumee, OH.

The Detroit, MI native has been testing and dialing in his GFRP 2023 Apollo hot rod the past few weeks and has been on the verge of hitting new timed landmarks in an NPRC regulation 132-foot pass. Powered by ProTek RC, Castle, and R1 Wurks with a Sanwa transmitter and a ProTek RC 160T Black Label Servo under a PROTOform Chevy Corvette body on Voodoo tires, Ulbrik laid down passes of 1.465 seconds (fastest ever in NPRC competition) and 1.490 seconds and registered an NPRC all-time record top speed of 100.6 mph!

“No prep drag racing has become insanely popular and competitive throughout the country. While pushing the limits of equipment to achieve the fastest times and speeds, it is great to have confidence in the quality of ProTek RC and AMain Hobbies components that are used in my race program,” states Ulbrik.

Ulbrik’s partner and fellow ProTek RC representative, Lindsay Mae (a.k.a., Ms. Classwrecker), also smashed through the 1.50 timing barrier at the Fall Classic, posting a 1.495 at 96.17 mph.

The entire ProTek RC line of engines, servos, batteries, tools, and accessories as well as most of the products run on Ulbrik’s race vehicles can be found at amainhobbies.com.
