Yokomo HRH Shootout Domination

The 23rd Annual HRH Shootout was held this past weekend at Rain-Man's R/C Raceway in Bakersfield, California. The HRH Shootout is one of the longest on-going races held on the west coast and would draw in many of the top racers from all around California, as well as from states as far away as Arizona, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington.

With 160 total race entries, it would be a great weekend of racing!

Race Schedule:

Friday, June 19th: Open Practice

Saturday, June 20th: 3 Rounds of Qualifying

Sunday, June 21st: Triple A-Main Events

2wd Modified Buggy

In the 2wd Modified Buggy class, Yokomo's Ryan Maifield took the TQ in qualifying rounds #1 & #3 to secure the overall TQ with his Hobbywing powered YZ-2 DTM3!

Maifield went onto lead every lap, while also being the only driver to make it by for the extra 21st lap and take the Win in A-Main #1!

Maifield then went onto dominate A-Main #2 and took the Win by 5-seconds to claim his 1st Championship of the weekend!

In the 4wd Modified Buggy class, Yokomo's Ryan Maifield took the TQ in qualifying rounds #2 & #3 to secure the overall TQ with his Hobbywing powered YZ-4 SF2 Prototype!

Maifield took the convincing Wins in A-Main #1 & A-Main #2, to take home the 4wd Modified Buggy Championship and complete the clean sweep for the weekend!

In the 17.5 2wd Buggy class, Yokomo's Matthew Gonzales took the TQ in qualifying rounds #2 & #3 to secure the overall TQ with his Fantom powered YZ-2 DTM3!

Gonzales took the big Win in A-Main #1, and then again in A-Main #3, to take home the 17.5 2wd Stock Buggy Championship!

Yokomo's Tanner Ashmore put in a great performance to finish on the podium in 3rd with his Muchmore powered YZ-2 DTM3!
