Dakotah Phend was crowned the ROAR National Champion for 1/8th Nitro Buggy in 2023 with Ryan Maifield taking the Truggy title, and Jonah Wilson taking the Junior title.

Dakotah Phend would walk away from the field winning the 1 hour main event by a lap over everyone. This would leave Ryan Maifield, Ty Tessmann and Spencer Rivkin to battle it out for the remaining podium spots. Ty would ultimately end with a DNF allowing Maifield to finish up in 2nd and Rivkin to grab 3rd.

Dakotah would also lead the large majority of the Truggy main with Maifield in 2nd most of the race. Jared Tebo would settle into 3rd pretty early on and put on a charge most of the race to try to slowly catch Maifield. With under two minutes left it looked like Dakotah had a large enough gap to take the win, but an unfortunate issue with his motor moving would cause him to lose the majority of his power. Ryan Maifield would come by to take the lead in the final minute as well as Jared Tebo who would finish second. Phend was able to salvage a frustrated third place finish.

In the Juniors Exhibition, Jonah Wilson would take the win over Andrew Beauchamp and Phi-Long Nguyen.
