Summer time is here and that means it is time to prepare for one of the biggest and best Drag Races in the country. Great Lakes Dragaway is our home for the Showdown and last year they gave us 500 feet of our own drag strip and we saw some of the fastest passes ever in our world of racing. After a season of racing and GLD working the track this spring to season it and get it ready for racing, we are going to go even faster this year.

This years event is August 2-4 2024. We will run 2 classes, Outlaw and Dry Tire Outlaw, both classes will have an A & B Group. Entries open on June 18th at 7pm ct. You will need to make a Track fee deposit of $25 upon registration, so you will need to have a Pay Pal account to sign up. Entry included an event T Shirt and custom name badge.
Track fee for racers is $80. $25 is due at registration and the balance of $55 will be due in cash at the event. Entry fee money that goes to the prize pool is $100 for each group of Outlaw. For Dry Tire Outlaw it is $100 for both groups. This will be due in cash at the event.
We will continue our tradition of paying the top 16 in the Outlaw class and top 8 in Dry Tire Outlaw.

This year a special offer for families, GLD is offering a family event pass for admission for those not racing for $25. This is good for 1-4 persons. This MUST be pre purchased off our event website BEFORE YOU ARRIVE. At the gate, it will cost more for admission. These will go on sale on June 18th when registration opens and the Spectator Passes will be on sale till July 28th.
