The renowned Minicar Fontanellato circuit hosted the 2025 Italian RC Car Racing Championship of the Italian Motorsport Federation, ACI Sport. The weekend delivered high-level competition, technical excellence and pure racing passion, with over 80 drivers from across Italy who earned their spot through the "Coppa Italia di Zona" qualifying rounds.

The track, known for its technical layout and demanding conditions, provided the perfect stage for the four championship classes: Touring Modified, Touring Stock, GT +40 Masters and FWD. Each class showcased intense battles, strategic driving and the finest talents in Italian RC racing.

TOURING MODIFIED – Collina reigns supreme
In the premier class, Mattia Collina (Team Schumacher) once again proved his dominance, securing the national title with a flawless performance in the A-main final. Alessio Menicucci (Team Infinity) and Jacopo Corna (Team Marka - Awesomatix) completed the podium after a tightly contested race. Collina’s consistency, pace and racecraft were unmatched, confirming his status as one of the top drivers in the country.

TOURING STOCK – Antonelli rises to the top
With defending champion Federico Collina moving up to Modified, the Touring Stock class saw Jacopo Antonelli (Team Marka - Awesomatix) take center stage. He delivered a composed and strategic drive to claim the title ahead of Denny Giacomelli (Schumacher) and Tommaso Vidotto (Xray). Antonelli’s performance highlighted the depth of young talent in the Stock class, which continues to be a breeding ground for future champions.

GT +40 MASTERS – Rampini leads the veterans
In the Masters class for drivers aged 40 and above, Alessandro Rampini (Team Treerremodellismo) emerged victorious, showcasing experience and precision. Antonio Simari and Andrea Tonini joined him on the podium after a competitive final. The GT +40 class emphasized tactical racing and mechanical reliability, with Rampini’s setup and race management proving decisive.

FWD – Giovannoni surprises the field
The FWD class saw Luca Giovannoni (Team Marka - Schumacher FT9) take a well-deserved win, ahead of Alberto Montecchi (Team Mon-tech Racing) and Luca Coppola (Schumacher). Giovannoni impressed with his smooth driving and optimal use of traction, navigating the technical layout with confidence and precision.

The 2025 Italian Championship was a celebration of RC racing at its finest – combining competitive spirit, technical mastery and community engagement. The strong turnout and high level of racing reflected the success of the regional qualifying system and the growing popularity of the sport.
