Press Release From Redcat:

Redcat is expanding its acclaimed lowrider lineup with the launch of the SixtyFour-18, a brand-new 1/18 scale fully functional hopping lowrider based on the iconic 1964 Chevrolet Impala SS. Designed to capture the soul of the legendary 1/10-scale SixtyFour while introducing new mini-scale innovations, the SixtyFour-18 delivers authentic lowrider style, performance, and attitude in a compact, ready-to-run package.

A New Scale, A New Suspension Breakthrough

In a major evolution of Redcat’s hopping platform, the SixtyFour-18 introduces independent front wheel lift, a breakthrough feature previously available only on non-hopping lowrider models. Instead of a single front hopping servo, the SixtyFour-18 utilizes two dedicated micro servos, allowing each front wheel to raise and lower independently. This opens up brand-new stances, tricks, and ways to express authentic lowrider culture with a remote-controlled hopper.

Combined with rear lifting servos, the SixtyFour-18 performs:

  • Independent left/right front wheel lift
  • Real-time rear height adjustment
  • Full-front hopping action
  • Smooth cruising with dynamic ride height control

Precision Steering with Positive Camber

To achieve a true show-car stance, the SixtyFour-18 comes equipped with a 5-degree positive camber steering kit. The upgrade includes a dedicated 5-degree steering rack and two matching 5-degree steering links, giving the front wheels a subtle outward tilt. Whether cruising low or hitting switches, this positive camber setup adds an unmistakable visual attitude and enhances steering geometry.

Compact Power & All-New Electronics

Engineered specifically for mini-scale performance, the SixtyFour-18 is packed with a custom electronics suite:

  • 2-in-1 ESC/Receiver: Ensures clean wiring and a compact internal layout.
  • Micro Servos: Precision-tuned for high-speed response and lifting force.
  • 2S 750mAh LiPo Battery & USB Charger: Provides strong servo power and long run times.
  • Pre-Installed LED Headlights: Ready for nighttime cruising out of the box.

Officially Licensed 1964 Chevrolet Impala SS Body

Redcat’s commitment to scale realism is fully realized in the SixtyFour-18's officially licensed body. Highlights include:

  • Crisp body lines and authentic 1964 proportions
  • Chrome-style molded trim and detailed emblems
  • Knockoff wheels fitted with low-profile whitewall tires
  • Magnetic body mounts for clean looks and quick chassis access
  • Available vibrant colorways: Red, Orange, Blue, and Lavender

Intuitive Control with the LR6-18 Radio

Commanding the SixtyFour-18 is the new LR6-18 6-channel transmitter. Custom-designed for lowrider performance, the radio offers intuitive control over individual height channels, dedicated lift and drop functions, trim adjustments, and clear LED status feedback — preserving the authentic feel Redcat lowrider fans expect in a streamlined transmitter.
