With over 180 entries from racers from over 7 states, this years 9th annual Rocket City challenge was a HUGE success! With a hot and humid forecast, we started open practice on Friday afternoon with many people pulling in. Saturday we got started running the 6 minute qualifiers and with money on the line for TQ in each class, we saw some fast overall times being put down. Since this was a two day event we ran into the night up to around 10:00pm then took a break so racers could rest and relax. The next morning we got started again to finish up. HOT was the key word. Not only the weather with highs in the 90's but on the track as well. Very close racing in all classes, especially 1/8 Nitro Buggy and 1/8 E Truggy. We finished up around 3pm so racers could have time to drive home. Rc3 would like to thank everyone that came to race or hang out this year. Mark your calender's for next year, same weekend, for the 10th annual race!
