2 of the 3 Wednesday qualifiers have been completed now in Miami for the 2018 IC Track Worlds at Homestead Raceway. So far Dario Balestri has shown dominance and his teammates on Infinity have been able to aide in 1-2 finishes in both rounds.

Balestri this round would not have the quickest lap or the fastest top 3 average but consistency would be his friend. His average lap was just 4 tenths slower than his fast lap. Infinity's Andy Moore would finish second this round from the 11/12th heat. He would have a quicker fast lap than Balestri, but ultimately a slower average lap. Mugen's Shoki Takahata would break into the top 3 with a 3rd to match his 4th from the first round. All 3 drivers had virtually the same time taken for their pit lap which is a crucial period to make or lose time.

Serpent's Dominic Greiner just like Takahata would finish one spot better in round 2 coming in 4th. Greiner had a faster pit lap than the top 3, but the rest of his laps lead to an ever so slightly slower average landing him in his 4th place position. Despite this 2 top 5 finishes each for Greiner and Takahata will help in their campaigns toward the semifinals. WRC's Tony Gruber would break into the top 5 for the first time this week finishing 5th overall.

Round 1 2nd place finisher Matsukura would suffer from slight bobbles and mistakes throughout his run landing him 16th overall. Top seed Collari would not even see the track for the round. Simon Kurzbuch would opt for a pit stop this round which landed him 13th overall. Finally the first half of heat 12 saw a dominant Robert Pietsch, but trouble in pitlane saw him finish 32nd overall.
