Dakotah Phend is the 2022 ROAR 1/8th Scale Off-Road National Champion in Buggy and Truggy. Phend (TLR) fought off the hard charging Ryan Maifield (Mugen Seiki) in both classes to take the 2022 ROAR National Championship, his first in Nitro Buggy. Ryan Maifield would battle cleanly but aggressively all the way until the end in the hour long Buggy main event coming up just short of the win for the second time that day. Third place in the truggy class would be Tekno RC's Jared Tebo who was able to pull away from Ty Tessmann (Team Xray) to claim the spot. Finally a popular 3rd place finish in Buggy went to Mason Fuller (HB Racing) who was able to fend off Spencer Rivkin (Team Associated) for the spot.
To complete the Team Losi Racing sweep of the weekend, Barry Baker won the first ever 40+ Masters main event, and Michael 'Tater' Sontag won the 16U main event.
