AMain Hobbies is pleased to announce an exclusive North American distribution agreement with HongNor, a legendary brand with over 35 years of competition engineering experience in RC racing. The distribution agreement kicks off with the launch of the new HongNor X5B Competition 1/8 4wd Off-Road Nitro Buggy Kit, available now on AMainHobbies.com or through the vast network of race hobby shops within the AMain Hobbies distribution network.

HongNor has long been known as a value-based RC racing brand with excellent craftsmanship and engineering at a very competitive price point. The HongNor return to the U.S. and Canada marketplace will provide North American 1/8 scale off-road racers another strong option when building their race programs.

“HongNor has been synonymous with world-class RC racing for many years, and it’s an exciting opportunity for AMain Hobbies to re-introduce the HongNor brand into the United States and Canada,” states AMain Hobbies Strategic Growth Manager Shawn Ireland. “The new X5B nitro buggy platform is an excellent way for HongNor to come back into the North American 1/8 scale off-road racing market, as the nitro buggy platform has been extensively tested and is ready to hit the track and vying for podiums immediately.”

The HongNor X5B Competition Nitro Buggy Kit is built with competition-grade materials such as 7075 aluminum shock towers and arm holders as well as a 3mm lightened chassis with countersunk screws. The angled bevel gear design improves central dogbone alignment, resulting in smoother power transfer and faster acceleration. Combined with hardened steel gears and a 4-shoe clutch system, this buggy is ready to handle the power demands of competitive racing.

The XB5 also features expertly designed differential housing that makes maintenance faster and easier. With the quick-access front and rear differential housing, racers can swap or tune diffs without major disassembly. The low-drag polycarbonate body and one-piece wing reduces air resistance while improving stability at high speeds.

“I have been so impressed in the build process and testing of the new HongNor XB5,” says long-time World Class legendary 1/8 off-road racer Chad Bradley. “I raced for this company years ago and now with their re-emergence onto the racing scene, I am excited to test and race this platform in the coming season.”
