Press Release From JConcepts:

The 1978 Chevy K10 is the latest body to be added to a JConcepts line-up of bodies designed for more competition based crawling needs. Designed by JConcepts, the Tucked body layout creates more tire space, less overhang while still giving a strong and loyal Chevrolet presence. The 1978 styling represented the 3rdgeneration of trucks from General Motors, and even though they are known today as “square body trucks,” it was originally designated as the “rounded line.”

Inspiration can arrive at any time, for JConcepts it was during events such as the Ultimate Scale Truck Expo in Williston, Florida. A mass following of tiny truck drivers arrive and meet up annually for the weekend showing off their best rigs or new innovations. Taking notes, the team from Groveland, Florida, set out to produce something to unveil during the following year, and for 2023 the new Tuck body made its appearance. Fantastic paint and graphics applied on the 78-body courtesy of Scale Rat RC help make photos and the debut really pop.

The identifiable design detail of the retro piece is the center bulged section that runs the length of the shell. A vertical signal marker can be added thanks to the included and pre-trimmed JConcepts decal sheet. Extending off the center structure of the body, the blend flows nicely into the cab with large windows which are recessed for increased realism. The large front windshield produces a lot of scale visibility to look forward to the Tucked front nose for better handling characteristics.

The included decal sheet allows the user to decorate the front-end to desired look, fit, and finish. An incredible 4 different headlight and grille combination decals are included to cover a vast assortment of Chevrolet / GMC looks, and trim packages. All the favorite names, Custom Deluxe, Scottsdale, Silverado, Cheyenne, and Sierra Grande are present on the decal sheet to match up with legacy models. The bed area of the body Tucks firmly to the rear with minimal overhang. Decals allow for tailgate trim, rear taillights, and miscellaneous badging.

The clear pre-trimmed body is completely factory cut with an incredible edge finish around the wheel wells, along with front and rear bumper areas. The item has overspray film already applied to the surface and will peel easily after the finalized paint and body mounting details are performed by the user. Window masks are also included and designed to fit straight into the body for the quickest and easiest process to get the driver to the trails in a hurry.

The JConcepts team builds, tests, and travels the world to support the brand and gather valuable driver feedback in search of the best appearing and performance items on the market. The product is designed in the U.S.A. and always backed by JConcepts customer service, supported, and developed by professionals with style, licensing, and authenticity.
