ProTek RC is announcing the release of their brand new “SureStart” Professional 1/10 & 1/8 On-Road Starter Box. The new starter box also can be used to power up 1/10 off-road gas trucks.

The PTK-4550 starter box is equipped with a 775 size motor, generating ample power to conquer even the most stubborn engines. Featuring high-quality 16awg silicone shielded wiring, factory pre-installed T-Style connectors, and quick-change connectors, this new “SureStart” box is easy to maintain and ideal for vehicle start up AND to break-in new engines.

The wiring and battery tray is compatible with two 7.2V NiMH stick packs, or two 2S LiPo pack in series (batteries not included). And the convenient quick access cover release tab unveils the inner workings of the box without requiring tools – just press and lift! This new starter box ensures nitro enthusiasts have a potent and budget-friendly solution backed by the ProTek RC high performance guarantee that will start even the toughest of engines run after run.

*Battery Note: The PTK-4550 ProTek RC “SureStart” starter box comes equipped with a Y-Harness power lead to accommodate either two 2S LiPo or two 6-Cell NiMH batteries. However, you can use a single 4S LiPo battery to power it, BUT some modification is required, as you will need to remove the Y-harness power lead and re-solder a single T-Style connector to the power leads.
