This stiffener plate increases the rigidity of the front fender (front wheel arch), which greatly affects the steering characteristics of a touring car body, and also prevents body damage due to contact between the tires and the body. The Teflon tape applied to the surface minimizes resistance when it comes in contact with the tire, allowing for smooth cornering without stalling.
It is especially recommended for ultra-lightweight bodies.
